I'm not asking for free work.

I'm doing my editing with GIMP, and this picture is what I have so far.

The spine and back don't concern me, and neither does the area below the cover picture. The area above the cover picture, where the book's title is at, is what I'd like advice on. How can I improve my cover? (Feel free to give advice about any part of my book - but this is the part I'm concerned about.)
Please help.
